Reserve Merlot 2021

Okanagan

A burst of fruit greets the nose, led by raspberry coulis, red currants, plum, and dark cherry, followed by subtle hints of cocoa powder, molasses, vanilla, clove, eucalyptus, pine resin, and a touch of pencil shavings. On the palate, this young wine is fruit-forward, showcasing fresh red summer fruits, with a lingering finish of white pepper, clove, black licorice, freshly cut cedar, and polished, well-rounded tannins. Enjoy now, or cellar a few bottles to see how it evolves.

Vintage Notes

We enjoyed a strong start to the growing season, with a warm April setting the stage. While May and June brought cooler, wetter conditions, the weather quickly turned, and we saw hot, sunny days throughout July and August—ideal for even ripening and balanced flavour development. September continued to bring warmth, giving us the final boost for optimal ripening. This consistent weather provided a near-perfect season for cultivating beautifully developed wines.
